About The Position

Bunzl is hiring a Class A CDL Driver to safely operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicle and deliver goods to customer locations, locally and over long distances. Drivers are described as company ambassadors and key customer contacts. The role has a 3 a.m. start time and pays $27.50 per hour, with weekly pay and a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

The driver performs vehicle inspections, ensures cargo is securely loaded, provides customer service during deliveries, follows traffic and safety rules, and maintains accurate logs and paperwork. The driver is also responsible for promptly reporting vehicle maintenance issues to management.

Bunzl North America operates more than 100 warehouses and serves the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, and parts of the Caribbean and Mexico.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• A clean driving record according to Bunzl's fleet safety standards.
• Ability to operate and navigate a variety of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and handle loading and unloading.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests and maintain an active medical card.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and ELD compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience with GPS and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate a Class A tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver goods safely and on time to local and long-distance customer locations.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and submit logs and paperwork on time.
• Manage cargo loading and unloading, ensuring items are safely secured.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Maintain the vehicle and promptly report issues to management.
