About The Position
This dedicated local shuttle operation hauls refrigerated grocery freight between distribution centers and relay yards. Drivers start and finish each day at the same yard, with daily home time, consistent local routes, and year-round freight. The work includes drop-and-hook runs, with an average of 5–10 shuttles per day and a minimum of three. Freight is no-touch, and tractors are automatic. There are no deliveries in New York City. Drivers may have the opportunity to assist with additional local work when available.
Requirements
- At least 3 months of tractor-trailer experience.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Comfort with slip seating.
- Strong safety record and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Willingness to assist with store deliveries, backhauls, intermodal work, and other dedicated accounts when needed.
- Ability to safely operate refrigerated equipment in all weather conditions.
