About The Position

This position is for new Class A CDL holders in West Michigan who are looking for a fleet that will provide training, pay from the first week, and guarantee income while they gain experience. The training period involves hauling real loads with an experienced trainer for 4 to 6 weeks, with a weekly pay of $900. After training, drivers will move into their own truck and receive a guaranteed weekly income of $1,000 for the first three months of solo driving. The job involves driving east of the Mississippi, with loads not going far west, and an average of 2,100 to 2,500 miles per week with steady freight. The work is in dry vans, involving drop and hook and some live stops. Drivers can expect a schedule that allows for planning their life around, with time off after two weeks out.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Drivers 21 and older.
• New drivers must have completed 120+ hours at an accredited CDL program, OR drivers with 6 months OTR in the last year or 12 months in 5 years.
• Two or fewer moving violations in 2 years.
• No major preventable accident in 5 years.
• No DUI or DWI within 5 to 10 years.
• Able to pass a DOT physical and hair and urine drug screening.
• Living within 200 miles of Detroit, MI.

Responsibilities

• Haul real loads with an experienced trainer for 4 to 6 weeks.
