About The Position

ABC Supply Interiors is a specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing, and other building materials for commercial and residential contractors. This local delivery role is responsible for maintaining the safety and accuracy of deliveries from departure through completion. The position does not require over-the-road travel. Duties may also include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials on or off trucks or moving materials into the warehouse, as assigned.

Requirements

• A valid Class A CDL is required.
• Ability to unload, transport, and position building materials as required.
• Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shifts.
• Ability to consistently lift and carry 250 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Straight truck experience is preferred.
• Drywall boom truck experience is preferred.
• Semi tractor and trailer experience is preferred.
• Trailer-mounted forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery vehicle to and from delivery sites.
• Unload and stock building materials at jobsites as directed.
• Physically handle materials with a co-worker.
• Oversee safe vehicle loading to confirm orders are accurate and products are in good condition.
• Follow regulatory agency and company safety directives, traffic laws, and weight limits.
• Supervise and expedite unloading at delivery sites to ensure safe and accurate delivery.
• Maintain site safety as it relates to the delivery.
• Distribute and place building materials as specified on the order ticket.
• Safely operate a boom, crane, or Gradall when required by customer needs.
• Ensure delivered products are neatly placed and orderly in appearance.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials from trucks or moving them into the warehouse.
