About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a Class A CDL Delivery Truck Driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries of building materials. The driver is responsible for the safety of each delivery from departure from the facility through completion at each job site. The position does not require over-the-road travel, and drivers are home every night. Duties may also include warehouse work and loading or unloading materials as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Must complete pre-employment and random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with straight, conveyor, flatbed, knuckle, and/or drywall boom trucks.
• Semi tractor and trailer experience.
• Trailer-mounted forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of deliveries by taking and uploading photos with the company camera phone system.
• Inspect and secure the truck's load before leaving the branch, and ensure the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler on where to place materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice after each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or into the warehouse, as assigned.
