About The Position

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a motivated college student for a summer 2027 Claims Representative internship. The intern will investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate losses, analyze legal liability, and decide whether to pay or deny claims. The role includes studying insurance policies, endorsements, and forms; working toward claim resolution; and, as necessary, attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials. The intern will help ensure claim payments are issued accurately and promptly, serve agents, policyholders, and others, and conduct investigations by phone, mail, and on site. Pay starts at $18.00 per hour. The ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship is required.

• Currently enrolled in college and entering junior or senior year.
• Above-average written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to organize and interpret data.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.
