About The Position

Everest’s 2027 Claims Summer Internship Program offers exposure to Property & Casualty Reinsurance and Insurance through training, firsthand business experience, and networking with experienced professionals. Interns build on their academic foundations and apply their learning to real-world scenarios while supporting Claims leaders across a diverse, multi-class portfolio. The program runs for 10 weeks, from May 31, 2027, through August 6, 2027, and follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remotely. The internship is based in Warren, New Jersey.

Requirements

Be a junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university, majoring in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Risk Management, or a similar field.
Demonstrate communication, analytical, critical-thinking, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Excel proficiency includes pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
Have leadership experience or involvement in extracurricular activities, campus clubs or organizations, or the community.
Be able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

Support Claims leaders as they provide precise responses to the market and ensure accurate reserving throughout the claims adjustment lifecycle.
Participate in meetings and prepare presentations related to high-value and complex losses alongside experienced claims adjusters.
Participate in client visits and audits to develop investigative skills.
Collaborate on projects involving research on industry data sources.
Participate in leader-led events, cross-functional group projects, and growth and development activities.
Use AI and emerging technologies to address business challenges, improve efficiency, and enhance decision-making.
