About The Position

The Claims Advocate will oversee insurance claims from initiation through resolution, focusing on efficient, accurate, and client-centered outcomes. The position covers property, commercial auto, general liability, and workers’ compensation claims, and requires analytical problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and careful recordkeeping.

Requirements

• Proven experience in claims management, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies and claims processes, including property, commercial auto, general liability, and workers’ compensation.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to complex issues.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and carriers.
• Proficiency with agency management systems and accurate recordkeeping.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the claims process autonomously from initiation to resolution.
• Assess property, commercial auto, general liability, and workers’ compensation claims and recommend resolution strategies.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive claim settlements, using legal reviews and investigations as necessary.
• Facilitate client meetings, claim reviews, and vendor interactions.
• Monitor claim statuses, develop action plans, and establish reserves to minimize client costs.
• Analyze reserves and negotiate adjustments to optimize outcomes for clients.
• Provide claims support through review, research, investigation, negotiation, and processing.
• Maintain accurate records by entering claim data into the agency management system.
• Collaborate with the Risk Manager to identify trends and patterns and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
• Assist with additional projects as assigned.
