About The Position

Progressive is hiring a Claims Adjuster to manage attorney-represented bodily injury claims. The role involves independently managing a claims inventory, assessing and evaluating liability, coverage, and damages, and working directly with attorneys to negotiate and settle claims. The position is hybrid, with employees expected to report to an office about four days per month for meetings, training, and collaboration; employees may work in the office more frequently if they prefer. The role is open to candidates living near Phoenix, Arizona, or Henderson, Nevada.

Requirements

Four years of relevant work experience, including one year in claims handling; or an associate degree and three years of relevant work experience, including one year in claims handling; or a bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling.
Valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

Auto and/or commercial insurance experience.
Bodily injury claims handling experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Determine coverage and liability.
Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys.
Settle claims and set reserves.
Estimate treatment costs or compensation for people injured in accidents.
Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow up with no-fault parties, and manage claims through efficient resolution.
Interview people such as claimants, agents or brokers, attorneys, and police, and collect and document information.
