Chevron is hiring Civil Engineering interns for various operating locations across the U.S. These interns will be assigned a mentor and will work on projects supporting operating facilities through technical engineering knowledge and project management skills. Areas of support may include optimizing facilities for safety and reliability, providing technical support for turnarounds and projects, developing and deploying technologies to reduce carbon and increase efficiency, and using digitalization and data analytics to improve operations and safety. Top-performing interns may be offered a return internship or a full-time position after graduation. New graduates joining full-time will enter the Horizons Program, an early-career development program that includes formal training, on-the-job learning, mentorship, and multiple job assignments. Civil Engineers in this program will focus on a Civil/Structural/Marine development track, gaining competencies in designing, analyzing, fabricating, constructing, transporting, installing, and starting up offshore, onshore, and nearshore facilities, and marine systems. After the Horizons program, civil engineers can continue in their track or focus on other areas like Reliability & Integrity Engineering, Technical Safety Engineering, Subsea Engineering, Engineering Design & Projects, or General Facilities Engineering. Civil Engineers have opportunities to advance as individual contributors or in supervisory and management roles, and can also work in or lead other business functions.
