Chevron is hiring Materials Engineering Interns at various operating locations across the U.S., including refineries in El Segundo, California; Pasadena, Texas; Pascagoula, Mississippi; Richmond, California; and Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as Chevron’s Technology, Projects and Execution (TP&E) team in Richmond, California, and Houston, Texas. Mobility is encouraged as there are many opportunities for Chevron engineers to work in a variety of assignments at different domestic locations. Typical assignments include providing Materials Engineering support to refining or upstream facilities. Your duties will include material selection, reviewing specifications, performing failure analyses, corrosion studies, and metallurgy studies. You will work under the direction of a senior materials engineer. You will be expected to provide a written and oral summary of your internship, highlighting your contributions and impact. At the completion of the internship, interns will have the opportunity to apply for a return internship or full-time position with Chevron. If accepted for a full-time entry level position, engineering graduates will be enrolled in Chevron’s Horizons Program, an early-career development program combining formal training, on-the-job competency development, mentoring, and multiple job assignments.
