About The Position

ARCO/Murray is seeking a motivated new graduate Civil Engineer to join their team in the Chicago, IL market. This role is crucial to the design/build process, involving site due diligence, designing and drafting land development concept plans, and guiding clients through the initial stages of their building projects. The position allows for solving big-picture challenges while delegating detailed tasks.

Requirements

Minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Civil Engineering program or related field of study

Nice To Haves

Prior industry internship experience is a plus
Extracurricular involvement is a plus

Responsibilities

Research and collect site-specific information to initiate the land development process and perform site investigative due diligence.
Design and draft multi-building land development concept plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D for commercial and industrial uses.
Prepare schematic site plan, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site developability based on learned constraints.
Perform stormwater detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis to best inform site planning effort for cost and constructability.
Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and work to define direction of project with Design/Build contracting team.
