New Grad Civil Engineer I
About The Position
HNTB is seeking new graduate engineers for its West Florida offices in Traffic, Drainage, and Roadway. The role assists with producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects. Working with the project team, the engineer performs research, development, calculations, design, and project delivery, applying engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria to projects of varying size and complexity. The role uses technical knowledge to support the execution and evaluation of project designs and develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software. The position contributes to delivering projects for HNTB clients. Relocation and housing are not provided. Visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD or other software.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work within the provided schedule and number of hours.
- Support the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
- Assist in preparing project quantity and cost estimates.
- Assist engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
- Support engineering teams with tasks including research, data collection, field investigations, project development, and design.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
