New Grad Civil Engineer I
About The Position
HNTB is seeking a new graduate engineer for its South Florida office in the areas of Aviation, ITS, Traffic, Transit, Tolls, and Construction. The role assists with producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects. Working with the project team, the engineer performs research, development, calculations, design, and delivery; applies engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria across projects of varying size and complexity; and uses technical knowledge to help execute and evaluate project designs. The engineer develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software, contributing to delivery of projects for HNTB clients. Relocation and housing are not provided. Visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD or other software.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work within the provided schedule and number of hours.
- Support the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
- Assist with preparing project quantity and cost estimates.
- Help engineering teams organize and administer design files.
- Support engineering teams through tasks including research, data collection, field investigations, project development, and design.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
