New Grad Civil Engineer I
About The Position
This position assists with producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects. The engineer performs research, development, calculations, design, and delivery in partnership with the project team; applies engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria to projects of varying sizes and complexity; and uses technical knowledge to support the execution and evaluation of project designs. The role develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software, contributing to delivery of projects for HNTB clients. The South Florida office is seeking new graduate engineers in Aviation, ITS, Traffic, Transit, Tolls, and Construction. Relocation and housing are not provided. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD or other software.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned work within the provided schedule and number of hours.
- Support the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
- Assist with preparing project quantity and cost estimates.
- Assist engineering teams with organizing and administering design files.
- Support engineering teams through research, data collection, field investigations, development, and project design.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
