About The Position

Provide engineering service and support to performing basic tasks requiring basic application of engineering fundamentals in support of the design modification, operation and independent assessment of Energy Northwest facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or a PE license obtained by accredited examination
  • Zero to three years of discipline engineering experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to work onsite in Richland, WA
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic analysis and designs in support of systems, programs and projects.
  • Perform problem resolution via plant process.
  • Assist in audits, test and inspections.
  • Use engineering judgment in evaluating results or findings.
  • Apply judgment in selecting and applying engineering methods with supervisor or peer oversight; must operate within schedule constraints and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete tasks and assignments on schedule; ensure compliance with regulatory and Energy Northwest procedures and policies; coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Be available and support Emergency Response Organization (ERO) including being on-call (24/7) during required team duty (2 weeks out of every 8 weeks).
  • Work 12-hour shifts during outages as part of overall Outage support (24/7) including Outage Command Center and Engineering Outage Center.
  • Support engineering duty cycle (24/7) including call-out availability during responsible duty assignment.
