About The Position

Citizens Bankers are the face of the branch, building lasting customer relationships by providing trusted financial advice. The role supports customers’ spending, saving, borrowing, and investing needs by understanding their personal goals and recommending tailored solutions. Bankers introduce customers to digital and mobile banking options, collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking partners on more complex needs, and make outbound calls to acquire customers and schedule financial checkups. The role requires following financial policies and procedures, including proper cash handling and applicable state and local laws and regulations. Spanish is required.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED.
• Two years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating the ability to meet or exceed goals.
• Ability to ask effective questions and identify needs to improve customer relationships.
• Proven ability to build relationships and recommend and refer products and services through in-person and phone interactions.
• Demonstrated ability to use digital technology to support business goals.
• Problem-solving aptitude and ability to provide solutions to customer issues.
• Ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners, and specialists through collaboration.
• Self-motivation, confidence, and ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work branch hours, which may include weekends and evenings.
• Compliance with SAFE Act requirements, including successful completion of pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.
• Completion of a video interview assessment within seven days of receiving the link.
• Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Use communication, problem-solving, and financial knowledge to recommend and assist with solutions for customers’ spending, saving, borrowing, and investing needs.
• Understand customers’ personal financial goals and recommend tailored solutions, such as planning for the future, buying a home, or opening a credit card.
• Introduce customers to digital and mobile-first banking transactions through the bank’s app and ATMs.
• Collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking partners to address complex customer needs.
• Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkup appointments.
• Follow financial policies and procedures, including proper cash handling and state and local laws and regulations.
