About The Position

The Chiller Rehanger is responsible for rehanging product on a moving halving line in a processing area. Team members grasp one product in each hand from a waist-height recirculation conveyor and place it onto a chest-height moving shackle line while maintaining production, quality, and safety standards. The work takes place in a cold and wet production environment and requires continuous handling of product throughout the shift. The position is at Tyson Foods’ Wilkesboro Fresh Plant, on first shift, with an approximate clock-in time of 7:10 AM. Pay is $18.30 per hour. Rehires must wait 91 days from their last date of employment before applying to the Fresh Plant. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, and shoulder movements.
Ability to grasp, lift, and handle product continuously throughout the shift.
Ability to work in a cold and wet production environment.

Responsibilities

Remove product from a recirculation conveyor at waist height.
Place product onto a moving shackle line at chest height.
Maintain continuous line flow while meeting production requirements.
Follow safety, food safety, animal welfare, and company policies and procedures.
Keep the work area clean and organized.
Perform other duties as assigned by management or a supervisor.
