About The Position

This is an entry-level, non-skilled production position in Tyson Foods’ debone operations. Team members complete an 8-week qualification period while learning and performing a variety of debone-line functions. After successfully completing training, a team member may transfer to a vacant Cone Line position; transfer to a Cone Line position is dependent on a vacancy. If none is available, the team member may be placed in another plant position that is not a Cone Line position and is not eligible for Cone Line incentive pay. Team members must maintain a safe work environment and comply with Tyson policies, procedures, and food safety requirements. The role may involve machine feeding, wing cutting, breast trimming and pulling, shoulder cutting, utility work, tender scoring and pulling, cone stabbing, and backup labor across the debone cone line. Team members must be able to work with minimal supervision, maintain a clean and organized work area, and meet performance, quality, safety, and attendance requirements during the 6- to 8-week qualification period. The position pays $17.10 per hour. The approximate first-shift schedule is 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, though shift times and days may vary based on production needs. Overtime and weekend work are required as needed, and holiday work may occasionally be required. The work takes place in production environments that may be damp, cold, wet, or hot. Required PPE may include hearing protection, a hair net, a beard guard where applicable, aprons and protective wraps, cut-resistant gloves, arm guards, and other PPE required by company policies.
