About The Position

Tyson Foods' Wilkesboro Fresh Plant is hiring for general labor roles across all shifts. The General Laborer performs manual labor tasks supporting production operations, product quality, and facility cleanliness, and assists throughout the department to help maintain safe and efficient operations. The posting also describes Utility Worker, Stacker, Reworker, and Breast Shell Attendant roles that support production workflow, product handling, quality, and food safety.

Responsibilities

Perform general production and labor tasks as assigned by supervision.
Assist with product handling, sorting, packing, stacking, and material movement.
Support production lines to maintain workflow and productivity.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment; remove waste and keep workstations organized.
Follow company safety, food safety, quality assurance, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Assist with setup, cleanup, and changeover activities as required.
Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.
Work with team members to meet production goals.
Perform other duties as assigned, including duties tasked by administration.
For the Utility Worker role, support production operations and assist across multiple departments, including with general labor duties as needed.
For the Stacker role, stack, organize, and prepare finished products, boxes, trays, or materials for storage, shipping, or further processing.
For the Reworker role, inspect, sort, and reprocess products that do not meet quality, packaging, or production specifications.
For the Breast Shell Attendant role, monitor, handle, and supply breast product throughout production, maintaining product supply and supporting quality and food safety.
