About The Position
The Rehanger is responsible for maintaining a steady supply of birds moving into the Debone department on the Stork cut-up line. Requirements
- Able to lift birds weighing 5-6 pounds continuously.
- Must be able to push tanks weighing 800-1000 lbs.
- Able to keep up with the line speed.
- Able to tolerate cold temperatures (an average of 38-60 degrees).
- Able to perform duties while standing for the duration of shift.
- Able and willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
- Able to work in a wet, cold, and damp area.
- Provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history.
- Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times will not be accepted.
- Accepts rehires after 180 days.
- Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a steady supply of birds moving into the Debone department on the Stork cut-up line.
- Grab birds off the conveyor.
- Lift and hang birds by their legs on moving shackles.
- Hang approximately 32 birds per minute.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
