About The Position

The Rehanger is responsible for maintaining a steady supply of birds moving into the Debone department on the Stork cut-up line. This role requires the ability to handle live poultry and work in a cold environment.

Requirements

• Able to lift birds weighing 5-6 pounds continuously.
• Must be able to push tanks weighing 800-1000 lbs.
• Able to keep up with the line speed.
• Able to tolerate cold temperatures (an average of 38-60 degrees).
• Able to perform duties while standing for the duration of shift.
• Able and willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
• Able to work in a wet, cold, and damp area.
• Must provide government identification number for Tyson employment history verification.
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times will not be accepted.
• Rehires are accepted after 180 days.
• Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.

Responsibilities

• Grab birds off the conveyor, lift and hang birds by their legs on moving shackles.
• Hang approximately 32 birds per minute.
• Other duties as assigned.
