About The Position

The Saw Attendant position involves working on a cone line conveyor system where the team member grasps the right wing of a poultry piece, positions it, and makes specific cuts to separate the breast meat from the shell. This role requires precise movements and knife handling to ensure proper processing. Tyson Foods has specific rehire policies, generally accepting rehires after 180 days, but reserves the right to extend this period or deny rehire based on previous dismissal reasons. Applicants must provide their government identification number for employment history verification, and individuals who have worked for Tyson Foods three or more times will not be considered. This is a 2nd shift position.

Responsibilities

Grasp the right wing of the poultry piece and position it.
Insert a knife into the right shoulder joint, making a cut along the pully bone and down the right side of the scapula bone.
Pull the right wing down to separate the breast meat from the shell.
Grasp the left wing and rotate the front half counterclockwise.
Insert a knife into the left shoulder joint and cut along the pully bone, down the left side of the scapula.
