About The Position

The Rehanger is responsible for maintaining a steady supply of birds moving into the Debone department on the Stork cut-up line. This role requires the ability to grab birds off the conveyor, lift and hang birds by their legs on moving shackles at a rate of approximately 32 birds per minute. The position involves continuous lifting of birds weighing 5-6 pounds, pushing tanks weighing 800-1000 lbs, and keeping up with line speed. The work environment is cold (average of 38-60 degrees), wet, and damp, and requires standing for the duration of the shift. Personal Protective Equipment must be worn.

Requirements

Able to lift birds weighing 5-6 pounds continuously.
Must be able to push tanks weighing 800-1000 lbs.
Able to keep up with the line speed.
Able to tolerate cold temperatures (an average of 38-60 degrees).
Able to perform duties while standing for the duration of shift.
Able and willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
Able to work in a wet, cold, and damp area.
Must provide government identification number for verification of previous Tyson employment history.
Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times will not be accepted.
Accepts rehires after 180 days.
