About The Position

Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers in Lake Orion, MI is actively seeking a childcare worker for one of our Preschool classrooms. In this entry level role in early childhood education, you will provide support and coverage to the teaching staff so they can utilize their planning time effectively. You will also provide coverage during breaks and lunches to maintain staffing ratios and be an integral part of the closing team, greeting parents at the end of the day when they come to pick up their children. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in early childhood education, offers training and development and potential for advancement within the organization.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be certified in CPR/First Aid (can be completed after hire).
Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a childcare setting or private nanny (preferred).
Willing to drive a 14-passenger bus (valid chauffeur's license required).

Responsibilities

Provide support and coverage to teaching staff so they can utilize their planning time effectively.
Provide coverage during breaks and lunches to maintain staffing ratios.
Be an integral part of the closing team, greeting parents at the end of the day when they come to pick up their children.
Keeps children safe through health and safety, supervision and by using name to face often.
Appropriate care and supervision in the classroom, bathroom, hallways and outdoors.
Abide by all Heartfelt company policies and procedures.
Support lead and assistant teacher.
Engage in active play and supervision with children in the classroom.
Participate and direct children through the daily routine.
