About The Position

Kama‘āina Kids, one of Hawai‘i’s Top Workplaces, is hiring Preschool Staff in Pearl City/Aiea, including Teachers, Infant/Toddler Caregivers, and Aides. Requirements

  • Preschool Aide: At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Preschool Aide: A love for working with children and willingness to learn
  • Infant/Toddler Caregiver: At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Infant/Toddler Caregiver: 1–2 years of experience working with children ages 2 and under in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
  • Preschool Teacher: At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Preschool Teacher: PATCH-qualified (or eligible), including CDA (Child Development Associate) OR Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Preschool Teacher: 6–12 months of experience working in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawai‘i (or have plans to relocate)

Responsibilities

  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children
  • Leading or assisting with activities like art, music, storytelling, and outdoor play
  • Supporting daily routines (meals, diapering, naps, transitions)
  • Encouraging social, emotional, and early learning development
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and your team
