About The Position

The Childcare Center Director will lead the opening and ongoing operation of a new early childhood education center in Waltham, Massachusetts. Working with ownership and regional leadership, the Director will prepare the center for opening, build its initial teaching and leadership team, welcome prospective families, establish a positive school culture, and support enrollment growth and family retention. The role oversees daily operations, staffing, licensing, and educational quality, while helping introduce the school to the community and develop lasting relationships with families. The Learning Experience describes its approach as joyful, engaging early education. Its curriculum focuses on six ages and stages of early childhood development and uses hands-on learning activities to encourage children to explore and solve problems at their own rate of development. The franchise is independently owned and operated; hiring decisions are made by the franchisee.

Responsibilities

Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop the initial teaching and leadership team.
Support pre-opening preparations, classroom readiness, and licensing requirements.
Establish consistent classroom routines, operating procedures, and quality standards.
Welcome prospective families, conduct tours, and support pre-opening enrollment.
Build relationships with families and community partners.
Coordinate with ownership and regional leadership on opening priorities and timelines.
Create a positive, supportive team culture from day one.
Lead the center through opening and into ongoing operations, enrollment growth, and family retention.
