About The Position

The Learning Experience is preparing to open a new early childhood education center in Waltham, Massachusetts, and is seeking a Center Director to lead the school from the beginning. The Director will build a teaching team, welcome the first families, establish a positive school culture, and help create an environment where children love to learn and teachers love to teach. Working closely with ownership and regional leadership, the Director will prepare the center for opening and guide its continued growth. The role oversees daily operations, staffing, licensing, and educational quality, while also introducing the school to the community, supporting enrollment, and building lasting relationships with families. Salary is $80,000–$95,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop the initial teaching and leadership team.
Support pre-opening preparations, classroom readiness, and licensing requirements.
Establish consistent classroom routines, operating procedures, and quality standards.
Welcome prospective families, conduct tours, and support pre-opening enrollment.
Build relationships with families and community partners.
Coordinate with ownership and regional leadership on opening priorities and timelines.
Create a positive, supportive team culture from day one.
Lead the center through opening and into ongoing operations, enrollment growth, and family retention.

Help introduce the school to the community and support enrollment.
