About The Position

The Childcare Aide/Assistant Teacher is an entry-level role supporting lead teachers in providing care and education that meets each child’s individual needs. The aide helps maintain a safe, welcoming classroom, supports lesson planning and classroom routines, supervises children, and communicates with parents. The role is part of a collaborative team, with access to training, continuing education, development opportunities, individual growth plans, and career pathways.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers with classroom management and compliance with applicable regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
Help provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents, and visitors.
Assist in creating and implementing timely, thorough, age-appropriate, stimulating lesson plans aligned with Celebree’s curriculum.
Assist with effective classroom transitions.
Assist and supervise children during activities, and counsel them as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
Help maintain the classroom’s appearance, cleanliness, and safety.
Present a positive, professional image and adhere to uniform requirements.
Communicate effectively with parents, including greeting them by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, providing positive feedback, and sharing regular updates about children’s development and classroom activities.
