About The Position

This is an entry-level role supporting lead teachers in providing care and education that protects, educates, and nurtures children. The aide/assistant teacher helps meet each child’s individual needs and contributes to a collaborative classroom team. The position offers hands-on experience in classroom leadership, curriculum implementation, child development, family engagement, and creating a nurturing learning environment. Team members receive support and mentoring from the School Director and leadership team, along with ongoing coaching, professional development, and opportunities for career advancement. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available. The job description states that there are no nights or weekends.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers with classroom management and ensure compliance with regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents, and visitors.
Assist in creating and implementing thorough, timely, age-appropriate, and stimulating lesson plans in accordance with the company curriculum.
Assist in managing effective classroom transitions.
Assist and supervise children during activities, and counsel them as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
Maintain the classroom’s appearance, cleanliness, and safety.
Present a positive and professional image and adhere to uniform requirements.
Communicate effectively with parents by greeting them by name, addressing concerns promptly, providing positive feedback, and sharing regular updates about their child’s development and classroom activities.
