About The Position

The Childcare Aide/Assistant Teacher supports lead teachers in providing care and education that protects, educates, and nurtures children. This entry-level role helps ensure children’s individual needs are met while maintaining a welcoming, safe, and stimulating classroom. The aide works as part of a collaborative team and receives tools, resources, training, coaching, and mentorship from an experienced School Director and leadership team. The position offers hands-on experience in classroom leadership, curriculum implementation, child development, family engagement, and creating a nurturing learning environment. Hours are Monday through Friday, with morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available; the posting states there are no nights or weekends.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers with classroom management and compliance with regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents, and visitors.
Assist in creating and implementing thorough, timely, age-appropriate, and stimulating lesson plans in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum.
Assist in managing effective classroom transitions.
Assist and supervise children during activities, and counsel them as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
Maintain the classroom’s appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment.
Present a positive and professional image and adhere to uniform requirements.
Communicate effectively with parents, including greeting them by name, addressing concerns promptly, providing positive feedback, and sharing regular updates about children’s development and classroom activities.
