Child Respite Provider

About The Position
Provide respite care for a young boy in Altoona, Wisconsin. Care takes place in the provider’s home and in the community, with 8–10 hours of respite during the week after 5 p.m. and overnight care every other weekend, up to five overnights per month. The position offers flexible scheduling. The child enjoys Action City and 4 Treasures, swimming, Minecraft, movies, and playing at the park. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that party—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer and will have sole authority to hire or dismiss the provider.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle and auto insurance.
- Previous experience or background in trauma-informed care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the child.
- Engage the child in favorite activities and special interests.
- Take the child into the community for activities.
- Provide overnight respite every other weekend.
