About The Position

Provide one-on-one respite support, supervision, and companionship to a child in the Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin area. The role helps the child participate in everyday activities and interests while supporting the family. The provider will maintain close supervision due to elopement concerns, assist with daily routines and personal care, and foster a fun, safe, and supportive environment. The position is part-time, scheduled for 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday for three hours each evening. Pay is listed as $14.13 per hour; the posting also states “207.45 8-24 hour.” If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that party—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer of record. Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting, while the Member or Managing Party has sole authority to hire or dismiss the worker.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with children with autism or providing one-on-one support is strongly preferred.
• Relevant experience is a plus; no special certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one supervision and support to promote the child's safety, including close supervision due to elopement concerns.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as making the bed, meal preparation, bathing, and other daily routines.
• Engage the child through play, activities, and positive interaction.
• Participate in activities the child enjoys, such as car rides and outdoor activities.
• Encourage participation in age-appropriate activities and help create a fun, positive environment.
• Build a trusting and positive relationship with the child through patience, consistency, and compassion.
