Child Respite Provider
About The Position
Provide respite care for two boys in their home in Wausau, Wisconsin. The role supports a loving family and helps individuals remain in their own homes while having greater control over their supports. The ideal provider is confident, patient, and passionate about caregiving. Experience with individuals with high physical needs is preferred, though the family is willing to train the right candidate. The schedule is 15–20 hours per week, after school, with occasional weekends. Pay is $17.70 per hour. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that person or party—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer and will have sole authority to hire or dismiss the provider.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment.
- Experience working with children with special needs.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.

- Experience working with individuals with high physical needs; the family is willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts.
- Provide feedings using G-tubes.
- Assist with dressing.
- Assist with toileting.
- Provide playtime and interaction.
