About The Position

The Child Nutrition Assistant works in the Food Service - Child Nutrition Department. This full-time position follows a 183-day schedule, working 7 hours per day from 7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Duties may rotate among food preparation, cooking and serving; baking; main-dish and salad preparation; dish room work; and cashiering. The role also involves cleaning and sanitizing food-preparation areas, dishes, utensils, equipment and machines, as well as inventory, storage and some stocking duties. The employee must work physically in the building. The start date is as soon as possible after the posting closes. Pay is $19.25 to $23.40 per hour. Insurance benefits are available for positions of 6 hours or more.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Must work physically in the building.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve foods.
• Perform baking, main-dish, salad, dish room and cashier duties, as assigned through a rotation.
• Clean and sanitize food-preparation areas, dishes, utensils, equipment and machines.
• Perform inventory, storage and some stocking duties.
