Food Service - Child Nutrition Department
About The Position
The Child Nutrition Assistant works in the Food Service - Child Nutrition Department. The role is part time, 184 days per year, for 5.5 hours per day, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The position may rotate among duties including food preparation, cooking and serving; baking; main-dish and salad work; dish room duties; and cashiering. Other duties include cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, dishes, utensils, equipment and machines, as well as inventory, storage and some stocking. The employee must work physically in the building. The anticipated start date is as soon as possible after the posting closes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Must work physically in the building.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve foods.
- Perform baking, main-dish, salad, dish room, and cashier duties as assigned through rotation.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, dishes, utensils, equipment, and machines.
- Perform inventory and storage duties and some stocking.
