About The Position
The Child Nutrition Assistant works in the Child Nutrition Department and may rotate among duties that include preparing, cooking, and serving food; baking; preparing main dishes and salads; working in the dish room; and cashiering. The position also involves cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, dishes, utensils, equipment, and machines, as well as inventory, storage, and some stocking duties. This is a full-time position scheduled for 184 days, 8 hours per day, from 5:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. The employee must work physically in the building. The start date is as soon as possible after the posting closes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Must work physically in the building.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve foods.
- Perform baking, main dish, salad, dish room, and cashier duties as assigned through rotation.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, dishes, utensils, equipment, and machines.
- Perform inventory, storage, and some stocking duties.
