About The Position
The Child Care Center Housekeeper helps maintain the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the childcare center so children can learn and grow in a clean environment. The role includes cleaning the building, classrooms, playground, restrooms, equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls, as well as handling trash and seasonal decorations.
Requirements
- Comfortable working around children.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.
- Must meet state education requirements and the center/school’s requirements.
Responsibilities
- Keep the building, classrooms, and playground clean, safe, and orderly.
- Perform janitorial tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, and cleaning restrooms.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Clean school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls.
- Refill restroom dispensers.
- Help put up and remove seasonal decorations and displays.
