About The Position

The Child Care Center Housekeeper supports the health and safety of children by maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly childcare center. The role includes cleaning the building, classrooms, and playground; performing janitorial duties; and helping keep school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls clean. The Housekeeper also assists with seasonal decorations and displays. The position is based at Childtime of Colonie and follows a Monday–Friday work week.

Requirements

• Comfortable working around children.

• Must meet state education requirements and the center/school’s requirements.

Responsibilities

• Keep the building, classrooms, and playground clean, safe, and orderly.
• Perform janitorial tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows and restrooms, and gathering and emptying trash.
• Clean school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls.
• Clean restrooms and refill dispensers.
• Assist with putting up and removing seasonal decorations and displays.
