About The Position

The Center Director works side-by-side with teachers, children, and families to provide a home-away-from-home for children in care. The role manages the center’s overall operations, including staff recruitment and development, policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health and hygiene, and state licensing. The director also oversees administrative work, staff training, regulatory compliance, classroom expectations, and communication with parents and guardians.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to supervise others.
• Ability to work independently within the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with children and families.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• 5 or more years of child care or teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall center operations, including staff recruitment and development, policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health and hygiene, and state licensing.
• Ensure staff members understand the objectives and expectations for each classroom.
• Manage administrative tasks, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understand and enforce all state regulations within the building.
• Implement and ensure completion of training for all staff members.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
