About The Position

HealthFitness is hiring Child Care Attendants at the Advocate Condell Centre Club in Libertyville, Illinois. The role involves providing safe, engaging play for children while they are in the facility. This is a substitute, as-needed, fill-in position; hours depend on demand and scheduling. Attendants greet and interact with parents, follow up on children’s needs, plan activities, and help children participate in age-appropriate games and tasks. They observe and play with children, support developmental activities, participate in reading, painting, crafts, and play, and sanitize toys and play equipment. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Obtain Child/Infant CPR/AED/first aid certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute within 45 days of hire.
Ability to multitask and work quickly and accurately.
Computer proficiency, including at minimum Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience with young children is strongly preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact with each parent and follow up on the needs of the child.
Plan activities for children and assist with stimulating, age-appropriate games and tasks.
Observe and play with children.
Ensure children in their care are safe and engaged in developmental activities.
Participate in children’s activities, including reading, painting, crafts, and play.
