Child Care Assistant Infant Teacher
About The Position
Kid Works is seeking a full-time Child Care Assistant Infant Teacher at its Fairfield, Ohio center. The Teacher Assistant works side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in accordance with NAEYC guidelines. The role supports children from 6 weeks to 12 years old by helping with classroom instruction, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and encouraging children’s participation in activities. The position pays $15–$18 per hour and does not require evening or weekend work. Kid Works is part of the BrightPath Kids and Busy Bees childcare community, which includes more than 5,000 employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized.
- Ability to work within regular operating hours.
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
- Decorate the inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
- Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that allows children to grow and explore.
- Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
