About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time, floating Assistant Teacher in Madisonville, Ohio, working an 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. shift. The Assistant Teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home experience for children in care, following NAEYC guidelines. The role involves caring for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment where they can learn and explore. The position pays $14–$18 per hour and does not require evening or weekend work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms and outdoor areas as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that supports children's growth and exploration.
• Interact with children to encourage their participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
