The Child Advocacy Center APP-Full-time-NP/PA position is a full-time role within the Department of GCMG Child Protection. The role involves performing medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments for patients. Responsibilities include recording findings, performing minor medical procedures, writing prescriptions, ordering and interpreting tests, and determining treatment plans. The APP will also document patient encounters, act as a patient advocate, and participate in group meetings and policy development when requested. This outpatient position is located at the Jeff Gordon Child Advocacy Center and Butterfly House, with a schedule of 32 hours patient-facing and 8 hours of administrative time. The clinician group consists of 3 Physicians and 3 APPs, with a patient load of 2-4 patients/families daily. There is no call coverage required. The Atrium Health Levine Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC) are dedicated to advocating for abused children, working collaboratively with law enforcement, mental health professionals, the District Attorney’s office, and Child Protective Services.
