Chief Marketing Officer

CEO Life
•$150,000 - $250,000•Remote

About The Position

CEO Life is hiring its first Chief Marketing Officer to build and lead the marketing engine supporting the company’s next stage of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO will own the system for generating awareness, leads, and qualified appointments to help each chapter add 20 new members every month. This is a high-accountability growth role rather than a traditional brand marketing position. The CMO will create the strategy, systems, and infrastructure to make the Road to 20 a repeatable system across markets, co-own it with the Chief Revenue Officer, stay close to performance, and own results. The role is fully remote, with minimal travel for company events a few times per year.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in growth or performance marketing, including 5+ years in marketing leadership.
  • Track record of scaling a company through multi-channel lead generation, high-ticket sales, and digital marketing.
  • Track record of building marketing programs and processes rather than simply inheriting established ones.
  • Demonstrated experience managing significant advertising budgets across multiple markets or business units simultaneously.
  • Depth in performance marketing, including Meta and LinkedIn advertising, attribution, and conversion, sufficient to challenge agencies, media buyers, or Marketing Managers when results do not add up.
  • Experience managing marketing teams or agency partners.
  • Strong command of analytics, KPIs, reporting, marketing automation, and AI tools that improve speed and results; ability to turn data into quick decisions.
  • Confidence communicating with sophisticated business owners and executives.
  • Builder and operator mindset; highly analytical, organized, decisive, and energized by a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing marketing teams or agency partners across multiple markets.
  • Experience marketing to CEOs, entrepreneurs, executives, or affluent consumers, or experience in memberships, franchises, multi-location businesses, or high-ticket services.

Responsibilities

  • Co-own the Road to 20 with the CRO and develop an individualized marketing plan for every chapter based on its market, maturity, and available channels.
  • Build a predictable acquisition engine that generates 6 to 10 qualified appointments per business day per chapter, working backward from membership goals to required lead volume, budget, and conversion rates.
  • Lead paid media strategy across Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging channels, including audiences, creative, offers, budgets, and testing; determine where to increase, reduce, or stop investment.
  • Design and continually improve the prospective-member journey from advertisement through landing page, application, and appointment, including email, SMS, retargeting, and nurture sequences.
  • Set creative and messaging strategy for member acquisition and replicate successful campaigns across markets.
  • Build and manage the marketing function as the business grows, including agencies, media partners, and Marketing Managers, with playbooks, KPIs, QA standards, and performance reviews.
  • Build dashboards and scorecards showing spend, leads, appointments, show rates, conversion, new members, and acquisition cost by chapter and channel, and use them to make timely decisions.
  • Partner with the CRO and Sales team on lead quality, appointment quality, and conversion so marketing performance connects to revenue.
  • Communicate results, what is working, and corrective actions to Chapter Partners.

Benefits

  • Competitive executive compensation package with significant performance-based earning potential.
  • Fully remote work, with minimal travel for company events a few times per year.
  • Opportunity to build the revenue organization behind CEO Life’s next stage of growth.
  • Seat at the executive table with direct ownership of the sales infrastructure, team, and strategy.
