About The Position

The Vice President of Information Technology / Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for defining and executing the enterprise technology strategy that enables innovation across connected home products, digital services, and global distribution operations at Resideo Technologies. This leader ensures that enterprise technology platforms, cloud infrastructure, and data capabilities support the company’s smart home ecosystem, enabling secure, reliable, and scalable connectivity for millions of installed devices worldwide. As a key member of the leadership team, the CIO partners closely with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing and Distribution organization to deliver resilient digital platforms that support IoT-enabled products, mobile applications, remote monitoring services, and data-driven insights. The CIO will lead enterprise-wide initiatives in cloud transformation, cybersecurity, digital customer experience, and advanced analytics to accelerate growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including experience in executive role
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide technology transformations
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align technology with strategic goals
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience in manufacturing and product development companies with critical 24/7 systems
  • Experience managing cyber security
  • Experience with resource planning
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, CRM platforms, and modern SaaS solutions

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a technology strategy aligned with the growth of the connected home ecosystem and the global operations of Resideo Technologies
  • Lead enterprise adoption of cloud platforms, AI-enabled capabilities, and modern digital architectures that support connected devices, mobile applications, and customer engagement platforms
  • Partner with Global Operations, Engineering and Product Management to support the development and lifecycle management of high-reliability IoT products, remote monitoring platforms, and intelligent alerting services
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on emerging technologies shaping the smart home industry, including edge computing, device security, AI-driven automation, and cloud-based IoT platforms
  • Oversee the technology platforms supporting connected home products, including cloud infrastructure, device connectivity services, mobile and web applications, and remote monitoring systems
  • Enable the adoption of Industry 5.0 technologies that integrate expertise with intelligent automation across manufacturing, supply chain and distribution, enabling product quality, operational efficiency, resilience and time to market
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of platforms that support millions of connected thermostats, security systems, sensors, and environmental monitoring devices
  • Lead enterprise IT operations including infrastructure, enterprise applications, and network services that support both product innovation and global business operations
  • Establish robust redundancy architectures and disaster recovery capabilities for mission-critical IoT and enterprise systems
  • Manage strategic technology vendors and cloud providers to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-efficient technology services
  • Develop and enforce enterprise cybersecurity strategies that protect corporate systems, cloud platforms, and connected devices
  • Ensure security-by-design practices across the IoT product ecosystem, including device authentication, secure firmware updates, and data protection
  • Maintain compliance with global regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, and industry cybersecurity frameworks
  • Lead threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response programs across enterprise and connected product environments
  • Resource planning including the building and leading of a high-performing global technology organization supporting both enterprise IT and digital product platforms
  • Foster a culture of collaboration between IT, engineering, and product teams to accelerate innovation and reliability
  • Develop leadership talent through mentoring, training, and succession planning
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the technology organization
  • Define and execute the enterprise data strategy to unlock insights from connected devices, customer interactions, and operational systems
  • Build scalable data platforms that enable predictive analytics, AI-driven automation, and improved customer experiences
  • Support product and service innovation through data insights that enhance performance, reliability, and energy efficiency within the smart home ecosystem
  • Develop and manage the global IT investment strategy and operating budget
  • Ensure disciplined technology spending that balances innovation, operational reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Evaluate and prioritize technology investments based on business impact, scalability, and long-term value creation
