Chemical Packing Specialist
About The Position
Cayman Chemical Company is seeking a Chemical Handling Specialist to support its product processing and inventory operations. The role is responsible for weighing and aliquoting products, maintaining and entering inventory, and ensuring products meet Cayman’s quality control standards. It also involves timely database entry, maintaining the work area and equipment, regularly reporting work status to a supervisor, and following company safety, security, regulatory, and other policies and procedures. The employee may also assist with other duties as assigned. The position is on-site in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The successful candidate will be organized, attentive to detail, able to work independently, and willing to learn while demonstrating Cayman’s stated Core Values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn an ERP system.
- Ability to sit in one spot for long periods of time.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and pay attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently.
- Availability to work on-site in Ann Arbor.

Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Weigh and aliquot products.
- Maintain inventory and enter newly processed inventory.
- Ensure products meet Cayman’s quality control standards.
- Enter necessary data into the database system in a timely fashion.
- Maintain the work area and equipment.
- Regularly report work status to a supervisor.
- Comply with company policies, plans, and procedures, including safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
