About The Position

Prairie Bluffs, a Lifespark Senior Living Community in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, is seeking a full-time Chef/Cook. The community provides Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care services. The Chef/Cook prepares food according to resident and tenant diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with every other holiday. Pay is $22–$24 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, residents’ families, and employees.
Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a senior living setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food and meals according to planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portion requirements, and temperature-control procedures.
Direct and assist with cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils.
Check trays for menu and diet requirements, preferences, and accuracy.
Ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed according to established procedures.
Ensure food and supplies are available for upcoming meals.
Assist with inventory and storage of incoming food and supplies.
Report hazardous conditions, equipment issues, accidents, and incidents.
Follow universal precautions and sanitary, safety, and infection-control policies and procedures.
