About The Position

The Checker provides friendly, accurate, and efficient checkout service, helping customers leave the market with a positive experience. The role also supports a clean, appealing, and safe department and assists with bagging groceries and retrieving carts as needed. Checkers work collaboratively with co-workers, follow safety, security, and sustainability programs, and uphold the company’s core values and brand. The position requires flexible availability across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays; the markets are open every day except Christmas Day.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Cash-handling experience.
Patient, level-headed, positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to build relationships with a diverse group of people.
Commitment to working hard and completing department tasks in a timely, accurate, and organized manner.
Clear communication, attentive listening, and decision-making focused on customer satisfaction.
Flexible availability for mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Excellent manual dexterity; ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motion from the hand through the shoulder area.
