About The Position

The CHB Operations Associate coordinates and executes shipments to meet client service levels. The role supports assigned client accounts by expediting shipments from start to finish, developing familiarity with clients’ import programs and products, and coordinating file processing with team members and other company work groups.

Requirements

At least 2 years of CHB experience.
6–12 months of experience in the industry.
Knowledge of Section 232 IEEPA tariff structure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently.
Ability to persistently drive issues to closure.
Strong organization and attention to detail, especially under pressure.
Ability to work collaboratively with others in the business unit to achieve results and foster teamwork.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Authorization to work for any employer in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Customs House Brokerage License.

Responsibilities

Own CHB operations services for assigned customers.
Provide customer service and respond to customer questions and requests for information.
Process Customs entries and PGA submissions for goods clearance, ensuring compliance with applicable Customs and PGA regulations.
Open entry files and process entries according to outlined KPIs.
Coordinate shipment clearance with forwarders, steamship lines, and airlines to support timely release.
Complete customer billing and other required reports.
Track and trace inbound shipments.
Coordinate shipment operations from airlines, ocean piers, and container freight stations to the customer or consignee destination.
Upload required documentation and entry packages into the operating system.
Maintain customer SOPs and update them as needed.
